Civil Aviation Launches “Sharaka” in Dhofar

The Civil Aviation Authority has launched the “ Sharaka “ initiative in Dhofar Governorate, aims to strengthening knowledge integration between public and private sector  institutions through training and development programs based on the exchange of national expertise.

 The initiative seeks to develop national talent and enhance the efficiency of human resources across various administrative and technical fields.

This step  reflects the Authority’s commitment to investing in human capital and fostering a culture of continuous learning by organizing a series of specialized workshops and lectures delivered by distinguished national experts from government, civil, military, and security institutions, as well as private sector organizations across Dhofar Governorate.

The initiative commenced with its first training workshop, titled “Strategic Communication Plan,” attended by a number of officials and representatives from participating entities. The workshop covered the fundamentals of institutional communication, media planning tools, and the role of strategic communication in supporting institutional and development objectives.

The program also included a guided tour of the Meteorological Exhibition, where participants were introduced to the latest monitoring and analysis technologies used to support aviation safety and the preparation of weather forecasts.

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yafei, Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Dhofar Governorate, emphasized that, the “Sharaka” initiative stems from the Authority’s commitment to creating a stimulating knowledge environment that facilitates the transfer of expertise and enhances the capabilities of national professionals through effective partnerships with leading institutions in the local community, thereby contributing to improved institutional performance.

He added that the initiative serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise among participating entities, while helping prepare national professionals capable of meeting the evolving requirements of development across various fields of specialization.

The “Sharaka” initiative comprises four specialized training workshops to be delivered throughout the current year. The workshops will address a range of themes aligned with institutional development needs and will further promote knowledge and expertise exchange among participating organizations.
