Civil Aviation Authority Engages in Awareness Initiatives to Strengthen Environmental Sustainability

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has engaged in a series of awareness initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental consciousness, underscoring the importance of safeguarding the civil aviation environment, and promoting sustainability principles.

As part of these efforts, the CAA has participated in a scientific forum titled “A Green Horizon for a Sustainable Environment,” held at Al-Buraik Basic Education School (Grades 5–8) in Al Khaboura. During the forum, the CAA delivered educational content highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability and the role of both individuals and institutions in mitigating environmental impacts.

CAA  also took part in the Innovation and Scientific Research Committee Exhibition, hosted at Safiyya Umm Al-Mumineen Basic Education School (Grades 5–10) in the Wilayat of Adam. This participation reflects the CAA’s ongoing support for educational initiatives and its commitment to strengthening community engagement.

Both events were attended by educational supervisors and stakeholders with an interest in environmental protection. The CAA showcased its key initiatives and efforts in this domain, reinforcing its role in advancing environmental stewardship.

This engagement reaffirms the Civil Aviation Authority’s commitment to supporting national initiatives and promoting environmental awareness, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and the Sultanate of Oman’s trajectory toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
