C AA Holds the First 2026 Meetings of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Coordination Committee and the Aviation Environmental Protection Committee
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) convened the first meetings of 2026 for both the Civil Aviation Regulatory Coordination Committee and the Aviation Environmental Protection Committee, as part of their regular meetings held to review matters related to the civil aviation sector and to strengthen cooperation and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
The Civil Aviation Regulatory Coordination Committee, with the participation of representatives from the aviation sector, reviewed the outcomes of its previous meeting, discussed the latest developments regarding the Ebola outbreak and its potential impact on the aviation sector, as well as the precautionary measures and requirements issued by the Ministry of Health and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).The Committee also deliberated on a number of other matters related to the civil aviation sector.
The Aviation Environmental Protection Committee also held its first meeting of 2026, with the participation of its members, as part of the Civil Aviation Authority’s efforts to highlight its role in aviation environmental protection and to strengthen partnership and cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
The convening of the two meetings reflects the Civil Aviation Authority’s commitment to enhancing joint action across Oman’s civil aviation sector and to closely following up on issues relevant to the industry, thereby supporting ongoing efforts to develop and advance the sector.
