The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) took part in the Fifth Press Forum in Dhofar Governorate, highlighting the importance of leveraging artificial intelligence technologies  (AI) to develop the civil aviation system, enhance the efficiency of its components, and keep pace with the rapid technological developments taking place in the global aviation sector.

The Authority’s participation addressed the key areas in which artificial intelligence technologies can be leveraged in the aviation sector and their role in supporting decision-making processes and enhancing operational efficiency, in addition to contributing to the development of services and improving the beneficiary experience, thereby strengthening the sector’s readiness to keep pace with future transformations.

These efforts are part of the Authority’s approach to leveraging modern technologies and innovation to develop the civil aviation system in the Sultanate of Oman, enhance its competitiveness and sustainability, and align with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy and harnessing modern technologies to achieve sustainable development.
