Ninety Participants in the Civil Aviation Sector’s Youth Lab
The Civil Aviation Authority and the Youth Center concluded the Civil Aviation Sector’s Youth Lab, held from January 27-28, as part of their efforts to empower youth and enhance their contribution to developing the civil aviation sector and building future leaders capable of making a difference.
The lab is part of the Youth Leadership Program Youth leadership Program "Hamat", which targets young people within and outside the Civil Aviation Authority who are interested in the sector. It relies on group practical training, continuous guidance, and collaborative work, contributing to activating the roles of youth and involving them in initiatives and events related to the sector.
Al-Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Sulaimani, a member of the youth team, said: "The Youth Lab is a productive and interactive space for young people to participate in analyzing the current situation and the challenges facing the civil aviation sector, and to seek solutions through initiatives and programs proposed by youth, according to a clear mechanism."
Al-Sulaimani added, "The lab addressed four main themes: civil aviation regulation, early warning systems and risk management, the environment and society in the aviation sector, and emerging technologies and innovation."
The Youth Lab aims to empower young people to lead the future of the civil aviation sector, create a clear database of young professionals working in and interested in the sector, enhance the participation of young employees in workshops and training programs, and build bridges of communication and coordination between the Authority, young people, and relevant stakeholders locally and globally .
The program also seeks to support the concept of youth leadership by connecting them with national initiatives and promoting opportunities for innovation and knowledge exchange.
The implementation of this event reflects the importance of building partnerships between various institutions to invest in youth potential, based on the belief in their role in developing various sectors to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2024.
It is worth noting that the Youth leadership Program "Hamat", stemming from the Afaq 2 Strategic Program, includes two initiatives: empowering youth and engaging them in the aviation sector by activating their roles through practical training, teamwork, and continuous mentorship. This enables them to lead the future and make a difference, in line with the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy 2040 and the youth priority in Oman Vision 2040.
