Directorate of Assurance & Control

The Directorate of Assurance & Control is responsible to advise the Board of Directors, Audit & Risk Committee and CEO on how effective the systems of control work to protect the interests of CAA and the Omani Civil Aviation sector.

It is responsible for ensuring oversight and control of CAA operations, namely:

  • Quality Management
  • Internal Audit & Corporate Risk
  • Safety Risk Management
  • Coordinating and facilitating the work for external auditors
  • Contributing in risk mitigation
  • Reviewing the State Safety program
Quality Management Department

The Quality Management Department is responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining, distributing and updating quality standard manuals and procedures
  • Conducting research on best practice quality standards and quality control measures
  • Plan and prepare QC/QA inspections and audits schedules
  • Perform quality trainings and promote awareness of quality standards and quality requirements
  • Generating periodic quality reporting
  • Conducting quality control and reporting findings
  • Identifying and supporting the implementation of corrective actions
  • Developing and executing quality improvement plans
  • Supporting achievement and maintenance of quality certifications
  • Coordinating quality inspection from external institutions
